Laborationer
Introduction:
The lab assignments demonstrate fundamental aspects of analog IC design and layout, introducing CAD tools from the Cadence family commonly used in research and development.
There are 3 lab assignments:
1. Cadence intro; MOS device parameters; design and layout of an MOS current mirror
2. Design and simulation of an operational amplifier
3. Layout and post-layout simulation of an operational amplifier
The assignments are rather extensive. This means that the supervised hours (12) most likely will not be enough, and work outside supervised hours will be inevitable! Be well prepared with preparations and questions at the supervised hours!
Slides, manuals and simulation files:
They can be downloaded as pdf files from the Schedule page.
Requirements for pass degree:
PhD students work individually. Undergraduate students work in groups of 2 persons.
In order to pass the lab part of the course, each group shall hand in one lab report with simulation results, schematics and answers to questions given in the lab manual. The lab report must be a single pdf document, emailed to the lab supervisors.
